BA BioDisc repair Kinloss completed after ongoing breakdowns over the past two years. Previous contractors had been unable to resolve repeated failures. Our inspection identified severe alignment issues, sheared rotor tubes, pulley misfit, and GRP damage requiring specialist repair.

✅ BA BioDisc faults identified
- Rotors out of alignment and required compression
- Non-drive end rotor tubes sheared (replacement scheduled for next service)
- Pulleys incorrectly installed; belt unable to engage properly
- Radial arms rubbing against baffle wall, preventing rotation
- Drive-end bearing bolts sheared through GRP housing
- Belt guard damaged due to pulley misalignment
🔧 Repairs and service completed
- New top pulley, bottom pulley, and locking element installed
- Pulleys moved into correct alignment
- Rotors aligned and compressed
- Bespoke bracket fabricated and fitted to strengthen drive-end bearing
- Service completed with operational testing
The BioDisc is now strengthened, aligned, and rotating correctly. A follow-up visit will replace the sheared rotor tubes.
🛑 Why regular servicing matters
Neglected alignment leads to rotor damage, bearing failures, and structural problems. Routine servicing prevents recurring breakdowns and costly rebuilds. For manufacturer details see Kingspan/Klargester and compliance guidance at SEPA.
