BioTec Repair & Service – Avonbridge, Falkirk
BioTec repair Avonbridge carried out today after a customer reported bad smells, no spray, and no blower noise. On inspection, we found the blower had failed completely. To resolve the issue, we installed a new energy-efficient blower, reducing electricity costs while restoring performance. A full BioTec service was also completed during the visit.

✅ Fault identified
The customer noticed smells, lack of spray, and silent blower operation. Our inspection confirmed complete blower failure, meaning the system couldn’t aerate or process effluent properly.
🔧 Repairs & service carried out
We replaced the failed blower with a more efficient model, then proceeded with a detailed service:
- Checked the transfer baffle wall for blockages
- Cleaned the Enkamat
- Unblocked the spray cone
- Tested tank water levels
- Took current readings on the new blower
- Confirmed correct voltage
- Checked for back pressure in the blower line
- Inspected all electrical components
The BioTec is now running effectively, and the smell will gradually die down after 12–24 hours of treatment.
🛑 Why servicing is critical
Aeration blowers are critical. When they fail, the plant can’t treat sewage — causing smells, poor effluent quality, and environmental risk. Regular service helps stop faults early, preventing compliance issues. Read more at SEPA and see technical info from Klargester.
